Thank you to everyone who came out or tuned in to the Loveland City Council forum. I appreciated sharing how I approach the issues that matter most — with transparency, collaboration, and proactive leadership.
On water:
Loveland’s water tests 4x higher than the new U.S. EPA limit for PFAS.
Cincinnati has two treatment plants. The main plant, serving 88% of customers, has filtered out PFAS since the 1990s. The second plant, without that system, is 1.3x above the new limit.
Loveland is now exploring the same filtration approach, but we can also act now with better communication, awareness of risks, and support for in-home filtration while long-term solutions move forward. I want to keep our water system in Loveland. And we must do better with short-term solutions.

On teamwork:
When I ran in 2023, I ran on my own. This time, I wanted a support system — a team that values collaboration and open discussion. Running with Sherry Hamlin, Jim Daumeyer, and Todd Osborne allows us to bring fresh, independent thinking to Council while making decisions that reflect residents’ voices.
On the budget:
I emphasized reviewing our procurement process, evaluating contracts, and focusing on core services before taking on nonessential projects. Even with grants, the city often fronts a portion of the cost — so we must ensure every dollar reflects residents’ priorities.
Thanks again to everyone who watched, asked questions, and engaged in the conversation. If you missed it, I encourage you to check out the forum recording and hear how we plan to move Loveland forward — proactively, not reactively.

Friends, it’s time to lace up your walking shoes and get ready to make a real difference right here in Loveland.
We need as many neighbors, friends, and family members as possible to join us. Every door we knock on and every conversation we have helps build the community we want to see.
We’ll kick things off on July 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Jane Gonzales’s house. We’ll pair up, grab lists and materials, and head out to talk with voters face-to-face about the candidates who will put Loveland families first.
Why does this matter? Because showing up in local elections is how we win. Voters need to see us, hear from us, and know we care enough to knock on their doors.
If you’ve never canvassed before, don’t worry. We’ll train you, team you up with experienced volunteers, and make sure you feel confident before you head out.
This is the kind of people-powered action that moves the needle. Let’s do this — together.
